"Illustration Friday" is a weekly creative outlet/participatory art exhibit for illustrators and artists.. A topic is posted on the website every Friday. Participants have up to a week to come up with their own interpretation (story).

Maize, known in many English-speaking countries as corn or mielie/mealie, is a grain domesticated by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in prehistoric times. The leafy stalk produces ears which contain seeds called kernels.

 

In Maine, a special variant (Zea mays var. homaracadia) of maize is grown in some coastal areas and a very popular component of Maine Lobster Bakes .
