The Artist's Artist Friends
Over the years, I have made many friends in the art world, who are terrific atists in their own right. I am very proud to provide links to information about them here!
(see below and more coming soon!)
Stephen Black, Photographer
Steve is an Orr's Island native, a neighbor, a great friend and a superb photographer. Beyond all that, he is becoming the "arts impressario" for our part of the world. His gallery, "Captain Morrill's - A Place for the Arts" features many fascinating artists from Harpswell & the Islands and is the scene of monthly "salons" during the summer.
Tom Conway, Basketmaker
Tom is an Orr's Island neighbor and terrific basketmaker! His place is called "The Village Shop and you can not onl;y check out the collection of completed baskets, but watch him make some more. We have commissioned him to make several special baskets and they came out beautifully!
